Catastrophic earthquake had an estimate 8 magnitude and killed approximately 830,000 people. Death toll is believed to have reduced the population of both provinces by about 60 percent.An 840 kilometre wide 520 mile area was destroyed and in some countries as much of 60% population was killed -

Bhola cyclone
Struck pakistan flooding much of the low lying islands of the ganges delta. Approximately 500,000 people died because of the floods that resluted from the cyclone.Most severely affected upazila ,tazumuddin over 45% of population of 167,000 was killed.
