    A cow wandered into Sicangu Lakota camp and became a nuisance. The cow was later killed. The Moormon owner angered complained to the commander at Fort Laramie. Indians killed the 30 soldiers, Grattan, and the half drunken Interpretter. Indians angered by the treat of death by soldiers.
