My School in 2020

    From Now 'Til 2020

  • Paperless Expectation in Pilot Classrooms

The four teachers involved in the pilot will be asked to go completely paperless so as to competely rely on the virtual world. This process will be huge when implementing schoolwide.
  • One to One to Roll-Out

All students will be given the opportunity to have a 1 to 1 device when checking in to school each day.
  • Virtual School Arrival

Upon arrival to school, students are electronically registered into the school. Arrival times are reported via email back to parents. This will help with attendance, accountabillity, and overall safety for students.
  • Increase Dual Enrollment

Increase Dual Enrollment college courses offered on the high school campus. This will be virtual with live instruction. This ties directly to state and local expectations. Technology will drive this and will ultiately reduce AP offerings as they are not changing the way they do things at this point.
  • Paperless Campus

With the move to 1 to 1 devices in full swing, implement a paperless campus. Re-align resources into the virtual/technolgy movement.
  • Algebra I Discussion

Algebra I versus statistics...how will this be addressed? Currently, THS is moving more toward the statistic route at upper levels especially in the stem world. How can we get the district to move in that direction?
  • Pilot a Deskless Classroom

With the amount of technology on campus, find a teacher that will remove desks and teach virtually. Maybe the teacher is not even in the same room? Zero period? 7th period?
