ELA classes in middle and high school
As I got into middle and high school reading wasn't such a big deal.. I had finally caught on and I was a good reader with good comprehension skills- except when it came to reading history and science textbooks. Something that really helped me is that my secondary teachers let us choose the books we read and did reports on, I hated when we were assigned a book to read because it was usually really boring and I couldn't get into it enough to comprehend it.

I enjoy reading certain books for fun- when I have time, which nowadays is never. I also like listening to books on tape. And when I decided to go to school to become a teacher, I'm actually striving to become a middle school ELA teacher. I currently enjoy tutoring students who haven't done well in ELA at Simmons ES.
