The rich could even afford to use hard bars of soap and would often wash their hands. People began to wash more often after the bubonic plague, as they were aware that the cleaner you were, the lower the risk of disease

    Found a home
    The average Middle Ages houses were extremely small and housed the entire family. They rarely had completed floors, many of them having dirt or straw floors that added to the dampness. Most homes only consisted of a couple of rooms in which the entire family resided. This was not only their sleeping quarters, but their cooking, resting, and area in which they had family time.

    Typically they were punished for such crimesny being placed in the middle of town with their arms and head through a wooden block. If they did something horrific there were a number of torture devices: The iron maiden, tied to a tree and a horse tied to your limbs, red hot branding, suspension by your arms, items being shoved under your fingernails, guillotine, gauntlets and so on...

    Peasant women in most of Europe during most of the Middle Ages saved up for a marriage so they could have a property and peasant men and men in trades needed to show they could support a family before they could marry attractive women, so the average age of peasants and craftsmen and their wives seems to have been about 25 for much of the Middle Ages
