  • Avalon

    Avalon

EVENT: Sam Krichinsky enters the United States for the first time and is in awe at the fireworks. / FACT CHECK: Considering these characters are fictional there is almost nothing factual about this scene. / CONNECTION: I think these really reflect how different immigration was before 9/11 and how little security there was. / RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I think this movie had a lot of potential but fell off as there was not much story progression and the ending was a bit bland and basic.
  • The Lost Battalion

    The Lost Battalion

EVENT: The US 77th Division charged into the Argonne Forest with the thought that their flanks were covered. / FACT CHECK: This is a historical event that happened in real life and is very accurate. / CONNECTION: This movie really shows how underdeveloped our militant equipment was in the 1900s and shows how far we've come in the past 100 years. / RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ This was a good movie when it comes to the story but the special effects were kinda lacking for a 2000s movie.

    Red Tails

EVENT: The Tuskegee Airmen become an official division of the army. / FACT CHECK: While this was not showed in the movie it was implied that the Tuskegee Airmen were created in 1941. / CONNECTION: It’s weird to think that the Air-force didn’t exist back then and was just a part of the army. / RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ This movie is a 5/5 for me it’s a very good story and the story going back and forth from Junior in prison the the missions for the red tails got me pretty excited and I enjoyed it.
