My Governments Beginnings

  • Purple Day

A completely renewable resource is found under Alaskan soil. It's purple and highly toxic and dangerous to humans.
  • Protests in Alaska

Alaskans and other citizens of the U.S. and Canada protest Alaska as a state to both the Alaska State Government and the Federal U.S. Government.
  • The Documents of Autonomy

Documents created and reviewed by Alaska's independent activists stating that Alaska is allowed to trade it's newly found resources with the rest of the globe rather than it be controlled and distributed by America.
  • The Civil Deal

A deal was struck between the newly independent Alaska and the US. This deal entitled the US to 15% of all Purple Matter as long as it let Alaska's citizens independently sell the matter world wide and the ability for Alaska to be an independent government as long as it run itself as it's own democracy.
  • Ratification of Alaska's Constitution and Bill of Rights

Alaska would choose a direct democracy as they felt it would be the best choice for their situation. One difference is that referendum's to laws and passing of laws were much quicker of a process since it could be done online.
