The island nation of Folie is first populated by myself and the people I bring.
-
I become queen and hold all the power over the citizens of my queendom. I create the law, uphold the law, and punish those who break the law (off with their heads!). I am the law.
-
In the first years as a nation, Folie does well economically, internationally, and domestically. Immense population growth occurs.
-
citizens of Folie are unhappy with my ruling and some have started small rebellions and uprisings in their cities
-
The rebels have joined together at the national level and are now calling themselves Agents of Justice. There are mass protests, civil disobedience, marches, and violent demonstrations protesting my tyrannical rule.
-
Such a fierce ruler as myself would never allow such disrespect as a rebel alliance to occur and I declare war.
-
It has been two years and the war rages on. The rebels are thunderous fighters with most citizens on their sides. It's not looking so good for me but my soldiers continue on.
-
The castle has been seized, I am being held hostage. The Justice leader gives me an ultimatum, surrender the crown completely or adhere to their terms of government change.
-
Four days later I decide to agree to their terms. A representative parliament is created and the Justice leader takes his seat on it. Citizens vote in other members and my title is hardly more than nominal.
-
The war is over and the nation is healing. I no longer have the stress of being in charge but I still get to wear my crown so it turned out to be a win-win situation. Citizens are happy and the Nation of Folie is thriving again.
