My Government

  • The Beginning

After the 4th world war nearly all prior nations were torn apart, only groups of individuals survived and even fewer sought oppurtunity through the nuclear dust. I was one. After forming the colony of Krim and seeing the rapid expansion in my new safe haven, located in what remained of up state New York I knew that a government would be necessary.
  • The First Council Established

After nearly a year, myself and several others would be elected as a board of council men and women to manage the affairs of our colony and the defense and safety of our people. The council consisted of 12 people, myself as the head director of the council included.
  • The New Laws

Immediately we knew we must enstate a set of basic laws and principle to establish order. This list consisted of 7 main principles
  • The establishment of the board of representatives

By this point the colony had expanded exponentially from reproduction and the finding of countless stragglers. The colony had evolved into 3 main cities and further representation was needed. The council decided, that to equally represent the population we would need 5% to represent them. The current population of the entirety of the colony was 200,000 which means that in the beginning 5,000 representatives would be chosen from within the 3 cities and outskirts.
  • Revolt

We have yet to run into another establishment or colony but unrest has ensued within the nation. Under this government, there is no party system, there is only the separation of ideas amongst groups of individuals. However this separation of ideas would reinterpret the first New Law and cause a divide among the population. Because of this, the council took action by implementing 10 detailed sub-laws to the first New Law to provide clearance and subdue the population.
  • Resolution of a Nation

At this point, Krim took up most of east Canada and the United States. The nation developed an economy that took a position between capitalism and socialism. The first foreign affairs had been estblished between Krim and devloping colonies in both old Texas and the North west. The succession of the nation would be attributing to both the representative government and the lush resources of the starting colony.
