My collaboration experiences

  • Collaboration in school

    Collaboration in school
School taught me a lot about collaboration. Starting in 2010 with high school, until now, because college teaches a lot as well.
    - In highschool I had many group projects where we each had a role in the project and had to do our part to make sure the end result was what it should be.
    - I had a senior exit project which I had to find someone I could shadow, be with them for 30 hours, write a research paper, and make a speech to present to teachers and community members.
  • Outside of school/work

I helped my dads friend out by making a website for his furniture company. I had to visit him every few days, see the new furniture he made, take pictures of them and upload them to the site once it was complete. I had to make sure he approved of the pictures and if not I had to redo them until he approved.
  • Collaboration in school cont.

Even though this is only my sophomore year in college, it has already taught me so much.
-Being in classes with hundreds of people has taught me to talk to my peers more since it's easier to get ahold of them than the professor.
    - I have already had to do presentations, and they are more involved than they were in high school. They are usually more professional and have more tasks and research to do for the presentation.
  • Collaboration in work

I started working at Walmart as a cashier a couple months ago.
I have to work with people and deal with customers everyday.
I have to work with my coworkers and managers to make sure I do everything correctly.
I have to help the customers and make sure they found everything and just help in any way we can.
