Muhammad was born in Mecca in 570 AD. He was the first and only son of Abdullah and Amina. His father had passed away before his birth, leaving only his mother to raise him.

When Muhammad around 6 years old, his mother took him to Yathrib, to go and visit his father's grave. On their trip home, Muhammads mother became ill and died, leaving him an orphan. His nurse took him back to Mecca and placed him with his paternal grandfather, Abdul Al-Muttalib.

Muhammad had his first revelation on Mount Hira at the age of 40. He receives a vision of Allah from the angel Gabriel. In the vision he believes he is a demon and tries to commit suicide, but the angles stop him.

Muslims believe that Muhammad was transported to Jerusalem and then to Heaven. From this, God gave Muhammad the order for Muslims to pray the five daily prayers on this night journey

On June 8, 632, Muhammad passes away in Medina after an illness.

In 595 AD, Khadija and Muhammad got married. She was his distant cousin. He was twenty-five and she was nearly forty. They had 6 children together, 2 of witch died at birth.

When Muhammad was eighteen, his gradfather passed away, he was then placed with his unlce, Abu Talib.
