Armenian Massacre
The location of this event was in the ottoman empire. The ottoman turks and the turkic people were involved. The turks let this horrible genocide happen. This happend because of the expanision of the Ottoman empire. Around 1.5 million people died. -
Pol Pot and Khmer Rouge
Pol Pot led a movement in Cambodia and his troops were called the Khmer Rouge and started a gorilla war against Sihanouk's government. Millions of people were forced into slave life, working in his killing fields. People began dying from overworking, malnutriton, and disease. They were ate on tine of rice per person every two days. -
Soviet Purge
This took place in the Soviet union. The Communist party, peasant, and the Red Army were involved. Stalin used the purge as a useful excuse to send hundreds of thousands of Russian citizens to open up new regions in the Arctic, or build new centres in Siberia. Around 680,000 people were killed. This violet human rights by killing mass amount of people. -
Rape Of Nanjing
The Japanese went to Nanjing. They we're murdering and raping women in the Chinese city. Many women, children and men were killed. The humans rights violation that was carried out was women we're getting raped and killed. And men we're neglected and tourtured and killed. Approx. a quater of the Chinese population were burned and buried alive. Thousand were raped and killed and tens of thousands were brutally injured. -
German Holocaust
It took place in Germany. The Jews and Germany we're involved. The human rights violation that was carried out is the Jews we're gassed and we're sent to be killed. The holocaust happened because Hitler believed that the Jews were responsilble for the German misery. Over 6 million Jews we're killed as a result. -
Sierra Leone and the child soldiers
This took place is West Africa. Approx. 5.5 million childeren under 18 were forced to be soldiers. This violates human rights by forced childeren to be in in the military and fight. This happened because they were forced to fight by poltical leaders. -
South African Apartheid
The Dutch, British, and Africans were involved. It was racial segregation enforced through legislation by National party governments. Racial segragation began by the Brithish and the Dutch toward the Africans. 600,000 Africans were killed. This was unfair because the only reason they were being killed was because of their skin color. -
My Lai Massacre
It took place in Vietnam. American soilders thought the village of My Lai was holding soilders so they had open fire on women and children. The human rights violation was inncoent people that were killed in open fire. Over 300 women, children, and elderly were killed. -

It took place in Argentina. It was a period of state terrorism in Argentina. Some of the victims involved were students, journalists, trade unionists etc. The human rights violation was innocent people were under a state of terrorism. Approx. 80,000 people were killed and "disappeared". -
Uganda under Idi Amin
This took place in Uganda. The Ugandan economy was devistated by Amins policies. The number of people killed as a result of his regime is unknown; estimates from international observers and human rights groups range from 100,000 to 500,000. This was unfair for the people because they deserve a good leader. -
Iraq under Idi Admin
This took place in Iraq. He led a campaign against Kurdish people. Many innocent people where killed were he attacked. One of his methods of killing was posion gas. Approx. 200,000 deaths. This violated human rights by killing certian ethnic groups and destroying villages. -
Genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina
It took place in Bosnia and Herzegovina.The Bosniak civilians we're the target. Along with men and boys. The human rights violation was a mass murder upon innocent people. There were ethnic tensions on the forefront. Approx. 30,000 people we're killed. -
Rwanda Genocide
It took place in the East African state of Rwanda. Most of the dead were Tutsis and most of those perpetrated the violence were Hutus. It happened because the Hutu and Tutsis were having power struggles and a fight over land. About 800,000 Rwandans were killed in 100 days. -
Darfur Conflict
This is a military conlict that took place in Sudan, Africa, one the the largest country in Africa. This conflict is made up of alot of rebel armies. According to Sudan 9,000 people were killed. This is a genocide and was not fair because it killed many inoccent people. -
Somalia Civil War
This war took place in Somalia. It began because Siad Barre declared unilateral independence. Innocent people were invovled. It was a humanitarian disaster. Since 1991 approx. 350,000 to 1,000,000 Somalis have died.
