    German States Unite Within German Empire
    January 18th, 1871 all the German states within present day Germany all united to create what is now Germany. The unifications of Germany showed to have much tension due to religious, linguistic, socal, and cultural diffrences. There was about 27 diffrent states inside of Germany that were being unified that year. It took about 21 years for all the states to unite in Germany. (Powell 1349)

    Alexander Bell demonstrates the telephone
    Alexander Graham Bell created the very first telephone on June 25th, 1876. After 6 years of hard work, Bell was ready to show the world his invention and what he planned to do with it.     After 2 years of hard work, the Eiffel Tower was built in Paris France. The significance of this tower being built is to act as a symbol for France. Also, it attracts the most tourists than any other thing in the world. It is 986 feet tall or 301 meters. (Powell 1682)

    This was Gandhis first act of disobideince. It was on a train in South Africa where the segregration rule said he needed to be in the 3rd class and not in the 1st class.     After landing in Durban Harbor, South Africa, Gandhi gets beaten up by a group of white men. His life gets saved when the wife of the chief of police stands in the middle of the whites and Gandhi.     During WWII the Germans invaded Normady. The German general, Adolf Hitler, had put their field marshall, Erwin Rommel in charge of the invasion. The Germans failed to capture Normady but they still had Carentan, St. Lo, and Bayeux was still in the hands of the Germans. (Gorman 4000)
