Despite the League of Nations conference giving Britain an autonomous governing system over Jordan, after WWII it became clear that Great Britain did not have the ability or strong-hold to continue governing Jordan. Finally, on the March 22, 1946, the Treaty of London was finally signed that allowed Jordan to gain independence from Britain. Full sovereignty and independence from the British was accomplished on May 25, 1946.
