In this section Jacob, Miss Peregrine, Emma and a few others learn that there is a Wight on the island. Jacob later finds out that the wight is also his therapist. He had folllowed Jacob to the island. Jacob also kills a hollowgast. He fights it and saves Browyn, Millard, Emma and Enoch. The wight take Miss Avocet and Miss Peregrine. The children are only able to save Miss peregrine befor other wights take Miss avocet.
