  • Eastern Minnesota becomes a part of the U.S

    On September 3rd, 1783, The Treaty of Paris was signed, giving the U.S all of the land east of the Mississippi river, south of Canada, and north of Florida (Including Florida). That also gave them the eastern part of Minnesota.

    The Louisiana Purchase was the purchase that the U.S made, which consisted of 828,000 square miles of land, and also gave them the western part of Minnesota.
