  • Board of Education of the Hendrick Hudson Central School District v. Rowley

    In 1982 a student named Amy Rowley a deaf student, who was a kindergarten student in a public school located in Peekskill, New York where the Supreme Court ruling decided that Amy was not in need for an sign language in the classroom.   • Timothy W. v. Rochester New Hampshire District

    The case was the focus of Timothy W. who was a child, whom had multiple handicapped with several complex disabilities. In 1984, Timothy’s lawyer filed a lawsuit stating that Timothy’s rights had been violated according to the EAHCA and clauses of the 14th amendment.
