Mens Suits timeline.

This was the time of the great Gatsby look, Peaky Blinders or 20s gangster. this was a slim jazz age suit kind of look or the wider oxford bags for this decade. it was also combined with modern fit with the styling of past decades

This is a wide fitting suit. This was the year that they want men to have a strong masculine presences, almost to make them seem more masculine. They wanted the men to have more width in the suits and overall make them look bigger. One last thing, they had very bold colors and patterns during this time.

This was the most popular item for men in this decade. They would relax in their suits all the way to going to church in their suits. This decade they were made from wool or tweed, the suits were thicker and heavier then today's suits. They muted the colors more, to black, navy, brown and tan; not like the colors previous.

This decade was the start of skinny suits, knit ties and fancy footwear. In the 1960 this was the time stripes, in calming tones or vibrant colors made its way. They also had large plaids and checks.

This was the decade where they started to bring in every cut, color and fabric that you could think of. This was the peacock look for men because men started to over dress themselves. They were a lot flashier and sometimes out styling women's clothes
