The Declaration of Independence was a document that was written that said that the U.S was free from the British crown. It was signed on July 4, 1776 by Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and John Adams. It is a very important document in U.S. history because we became a free country. -
The Battle of the Alamo
The Battle of the Alamo was a battle fought in the Texas Revolution. It started on February 23, 1836 and ended March 6, 1836. The reason we fought the batte is because Texans wanted to gain their independance from Mexico. About 200 Texan soldiers were killed or injured and 500 Mexicans were killed or injured! It was a very important battle in Texas history even though Texas lost because so many of the Mexican soldiers had been wounded so it gave Texas a greater chance to win the next battle. -
Abraham Lincoln's Assassination
The day Abraham Lincoln, our 16th president, was assassinated was April 14th, 1865. He went to the Ford's Theatre to watch the play "Our American Cousin" with his wife Mary, when John Wilkes Booth shot him in the back of his head. Abraham slumped over and he later died. It is important in U.S. history because he was the first president to have ever been assassinated. -
Alexander Graham Bell Invents the Telephone
The telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell a teacher, scientist, and inventor on March 6, 1876. It is important in our history because it was the first practical telephone allowing human communication. -
Martin Luther King Jr.'s Assassination
Martin Luther King was a civil rights leader who spoke about about African Americans being treated unfairly. On April 4, 1968 Martin Luther King was standing on a balcony and was shot. He was immediatly taken to a hospital and died later that day. It is important in U.S. history because his death brought massive international coverage to the civil rights movement. It sparked riots and violence. -
My Birthday
I was born on November 24, 2000 at Baylor Hospital in Grapevine, TX. I was born one day after Thanksgiving. Some years my birthday falls on Thanksgiving Day! -

On the morning of September 11, 2001 a group of terrorists hijacked 4 U.S planes. Two of them hit the North and South towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, one hit the Pentagon in Virginia, and the last one crashed into an open field in Pennsylvania after the passengers on the plane tried to take control of the plane from the hijackers. It is important because about 3,000 U.S. citizens died that day and it is the worst terrorist attack in U.S history.
