Matt began training his group at Cape Sheridan. Matt taught the expedition how in dog driving ,and also made the sledges and alcohol stoves.

The expedition was off to the North Pole. Each man took one special position-Matt took his Bible.

Henson is the leader of the group, and he waited for Peary's commands.

Bartlett and Borup left Cape Columbia to be the first ones on the trail.

At the Big Lead Henson and Peary caught up with Bartlett.

The expedition is still waiting at the Big Lead.

Ross Marvin went back, Matt shookhands with him.

Henson and Peary ran into a wide lead, they met Bartlett and the eskimos.
They built their igloos. Matt heard crushing, the igloo was on a big lead, it was the dogs, the eskimos, and Bartletts. They were floating down an island on a big lead. Bartlett leaped across the water to safety. -
Captain Bartlett went back, he was disappointed to not be the first to the North Pole.

At first Peary started on front foot, then he rode on a sledge.

The expidition came across a lead covered in thin ice, while Matt ran across the runners broke through. Ootah came and saved Matt.

Right before midnight they were off again, they did not stop until 10:00 a.m. They had 35 miles to go.

Matt and Peary reached the North Pole, they placed te United States Flag down.

Matt and Peary got back safely to Cape Columbia. Matt, Peary, and the eskimos were very tired.
