marshall got sick several times partly because of it being cold for a long time and it was harder to be warm.

drilling in the civil war was kind of differnt bc i mean, think about it. the people in the wars now and then, their position could have changed some.

they had to guard so many things. my guy, Marshall A, Carpenter. well, he had to mainly guard and build houses. but anyway, people would guard court houses, the coast. just about anything.
