1.1 The Beginning
Today, I turned 21. That was normative. My parents felt I wasnt an adult until I was 21. I had alrdy lived in a dorm 5 hrs away from home before Gally. I came home on the wknds & breaks. Both my parents still wanted to decide things for me after I finished HS. I showed them evidence that becoming 18 enabled me to make choices as an adult. They wldnt have any of it. They finally let loose after I left the 1st college I went to, came back home for good & turned 21. That was nonnormative to me.
