The Boeing 707 one of the reliable jet palnes was founded in the 1960's. The new planes offered more speed for passengers to get to vary of destinations around the world in a shorter time and would cost passengers a lot less than if they was to use boats, trains and cars. Opening of the Euro Tunnel

Merging of Thomson and First Choice
Two big companies Thomson and First Choice decided they would make bigger profits if they were to merge their companies. In 2007 they did making them TUI Travel and now have become One of Two biggest tour operators.
