Marcuss and Narcissa started there journey to the Cayuse in 1836

The Whitmans decided to found a mission to the Cayuse indians.

After Marcuss and Narccisa founded there mission they had to biuld shelter, living with the Spauldings.

Around that time Narccisaa had been losing her eyesight graduly.

Marccus and Narccisa being childless for over 5 years. They adopted 11 immagrants and 7 Sager children.

With so much American wagons coming in to the Whitmans place. The indians started become a bit suspicious. Even Narccisa noticed it as she wrote in her diary "the poor Indians are amazed at the overwhelming numbers of Americans coming into the country... They seem not to know what to make of it.".

The indians built up so much rage that none of there people were getting healed and all of the whites were getting healed. So they attatcked and killed fourteen whites, including the Whitmans, and burnt down the mission buildings.
