    Mao Tse Tung was born. He was the eldest son of four children of a peasant farmer. He lived in a village called Shao Shan in the Hunan province.

    He attended the First Congress of the Communist Party in Shanghai. At 1923, he was elected to the Central Committee of the Congress.

    Mao was the leader of the Communist Party of China, and with this leadership, the Communist Party is still ruling Mainland China up to this date.

    China defeated the japanese but the Communist Party of China had to defeat the Kuomintang in an ensuing civil war.

    Japan did a full-scale attack on Communist China, which casused the Communist Party to unite with the nationalists forces of the Kuomintang.

  • Mao sending out a collectivization force in China

    Mao launched a phase of rapid, forced collectivization, lasting until around 1958 in China.

  • The end of the great leap

    In the 1960's the great leap program ended. The great leap is a program of big industrial projects. The Chinese and the Russians have been working together in making this program come true .But the council of the Communist Party was beginning to doubt him. So they ended the great leap program in 1960's.
