A man from the group approaches . He is dressed in a full hazard suit with a thick leather belt and with a disease mask . Three holes in the belt. The man knows that the group that wears belts are slavers and the belt is used to whip them and the more holes there are the higher the ranking.

The man grabs him when in reach. He asks him what he’s doing here. The man says he was going to take a poop. When they stop watching the man he grabs the child and hold him hostage. So the man shoots the slaver up in his gryll. The boy is splattered with blood.

They find a house. Nothing of use inside. They check the shed, only a shovel is of use. The man slams it into the ground. They hit something wood. They dig up a door. They smash the lock and discover a bomb shelter full of supplies like ammo, food, clean water, two beds and a bath. The boy takes his first ever bath in clean water. They stay in the shelter for half a week.

The find an other house and find some chili peepers and beans. They check the cellar and find that it is full of clear water. The fill three whole mason jars full and then leave.

They reach a beach, a sunken ship about half a mile away. The boy goes for a swim with the man. The boy stops and sits by a fire while the man goes to the ship. He finds food, blankets and clothing. They go to sleep.

They wake up to find a thief has stolen their cart. They follow tracks in the sand to find that a man is taking it. They take it back by gunpoint. Then steal his cloths and leave him.

They run and reach a city. They see a man on the top level of a building and he shoots the man in the leg. They man shoots the bowman in the kidney. They go up and raid the apartment, then leave.

The have to continue on and they reach a forests edge. The man starts wheezing and spits out blood. He then dies from black lung due to extensive amounts of ash in the air. The boy covers him in a blanket and holds the pistol.

Out of the forest a man approaches. he explains he means no harm. He has a shotgun over his shoulder and is wearing a full yellow nylon coat. the man adopt the boy and he takes him through the forest back to the mountains and he lives happily ever after with two new siblings and two new parents.
