  • Beginning of Industrial Revolution

    Advances in agriculture produced more food, and so the population increased. Also, there were many new innovations, ideas and inventions that led to more manufacturing and factories.
  • First British Settlement in Adventure Bay

    British ships discovered Bruny Island on the coast of Tasmania. It was home to tribes of Aboriginals for thousands of years, and they welcomed the newcomers. However, the British abused and were racist towards the Aboriginals.
  • End of the Napoleonic Wars

    Napoleon's reign of conquering comes to an end when he is exiled again. He overthrew the French king, aiming to become the emperor of his new empire. Napoleon was in control of most of Europe.
  • End of the Age Revolution

    Where many European countries got rid of their kings and monarchies and brought governments and democracies.
  • Shootout at Stringybark Creek

    Ned Kelly and his gang ambushed a police patrol, so as to gain weapons and intel on the police hunt for the Kelly gang. However, they shot three police officers, with one getting away to warn the rest of the force.
  • Beginning of the Boxer Rebellion

    China was being controlled, governed and populated by numerous foreign countries. So, underground organisations were formed to rid the country of its foreign influences. The biggest of these was called the Boxers. There was a rebellion organised which eventually saw China become its own.
  • The Battle of Beersheba

    The heavily fortified town of Beersheba was charged by the Australian Light Horse Brigade. The men and whalers didn't suffer many losses due to the speed and unexpectedness of the attack, and the poor response from the Turks.
