The industrial revolution changed the world population drastically, with its new machinery, which created different jobs. The steam engine was a starting point, with the following machinery making more job opportunities available, and easier. The industrial revolution basically just made life cheaper, easier, and simpler.

From the mid 11thcentury up to 1815, Britain and France were involved in a series of wars against each other, continuing for about 15 years. Napoleon was a French military leader who conquered much of Europe in the early 19th century, later crowning himself an emperor, leading many of these wars.

When the European settlement began all over Australia, there were many troubles that arose. The aboriginal people of Tasmania had lots of trouble dealing with the Europeans trying to take over their island. The population collapsing, colonists made a line to try and force the aboriginals onto the peninsula, working unsuccessfully as they didn’t know as much as the people of the land, they weren’t prepared. The aboriginals had lived on this land forever, they knew their way around.

Egalitarianism is the belief that everyone is equal and that everyone deserves equal rights etc. The main thought of this ideology is that everyone is the same, and that everyone deserves to be treated the same. (similar to democracy)

Ned Kelly's story is very contestable as there are many different variations of the story. People always want Ned to be the good guy, he did bad things for the right reasons. The incident at stringybark creek has many perspectives to tell. Kelly says that he told the officers he wouldn’t fire if they did, he wasn’t just going to die like a dog. The only reason he killed Kennedy was that he thought he was firing when he was surrendering. He had respect for the officers. It wasn't personal

A Chinese secret society embarked on a campaign to drive all foreigners out of their country. villagers from all around swept through towns to force all foreigners out. They did not like the idea that these foreigners were bringing new religious beliefs into their land. Creating ‘the Boxer Rebellion’. this showed China’s weakness and dependence on other powers. It created imperial powers and Chinese nationalism.

The battle of Beersheba featured the white horses and the whalers. They knew how to survive in the outback, because that was their everyday life, as to why they did so well before the war. They rode horses into the city, with the Turkish not prepared, The light horses took them by surprise. The horses jumped over the trenches or went around, the Turkish facing the wrong direction. the battle was very successful because the men and horses had a relationship, and worked well together.
