    The industrial evolution begun in the 1760's and was the invention of the steam engine. When the industrial revolution began the population of London skyrocketed. This was due to the decrease of time needed to do your job giving more time to be with your family. Food also got harvested faster and more fluently meaning that households could afford to feed more mouths. Due to decrease of time needed on farms a lot people also moved into the city, increasing the population rapidly.
  • End of the Napoleonic Wars and British Hegemony

    Napoleon was a significant feature because he conquered a lot of Europe in the 19th century without fail and took over France leadership, including leadership. Napoleon was taken down by the British, which led to Britain having world control for the next 100 years. Britain was very powerful due to not having any country neighbours, they were on an island by themselves with the only way of getting attacked was from the sea which they could easily scout out before it posed a threat.
  • Tasmania’s Black War

    In the 19th century the colonists of Tasmania formed a line to try and force Australian aboriginals out of hiding and on to the Tasmanian penincula. This took the lives of over 200 European colonists and 600 to 900 Aboriginal people, almost killing off all the islanders. The zoo aboriginies that were in districts were sent off too Wybalenna. by 2016 cencus 23,580 people in Tasmania identified as aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
  • Stringybark Creek Ned Kelly

    The police went out to catch the Kelly gang. Ned and his brothers caught McIntyre and Lonigan and held them captive. Ned swore he wouldn't hurt them but Scanlan shot at Ned, missed, and Ned shot back in return. Kennedy took cover behind a tree but what shot by Ned also. Ned kept his promise and let McIntyre ride off unharmed on his horse.
  • The Boxer Rebellion

    In 1900 the Boxer Rebellion began. This was a secret Chinese organization called the Society of the Righteous and Harmonious Fists that led an uprising in northern China. The organization was filled by anti-Christian and anti-Imperalist people. There job was to support peasant uprising of 1900 that attempted to drive all foreigners from china. The Boxer Rebellion created imperial powers and Chinese nationalism.
  • The Battle of Beersheba

    The battle of Beersheba occurred in October 1917 and was between the Walers and the Turks. It was an important battle because Beersheba was a main place of water and supply of goods brought by trains. The Turks had it all to themselves until one day they were attacked by the Walers, (Australian outback people on horses). The Turks were expecting them to take the route with the most cover, but the Walers went straight through the fields jumping the trenches and easily taking over.
