    Industrial Revolution

    The Industrial Revolution caused the population of Britain to quickly inflate because of the increase of different machines allowing more middle class citizens to have the funds to buy food and basic medicine to allow them to have more healthy children. It allowed more people to live through more medical advancements and improved agricultural practices. This allowed more people to do more jobs for the colony allowing more advancements to be made and an exponential population growth.
  • End of the Napoleonic Wars and British Hegemony

    This event is significant because Napoleon's loss signified the halt to Napoleon conquering and made Britain the hegemony for the next hundred years. This changed the course of history because otherwise the French would have conquered more land and probably would have made them the hegemony in the future. This could have altered history if Napoleon won and that makes this event significant.

    In 1824 the aboriginals fought back because of the disruption to aboriginal culture. The black wars began and it was viciously violent. The aboriginals fought back because the Europeans had devastated the aboriginal colonies wherever they went. through claiming and stealing land, taking women and transmitting new diseases. From the aboriginals perspectives these invaders had waged war against them, and stolen and killed many of them. It was a amazing they didn't wage war for as long as they did.

    The incidents at stringy bark creek were contestable by historians because Ned Kelly did some good things and some bad things, however with the motive of protecting his family and he disagreed with the law in his time. He apologises for his actions in some primary sources while also have killed a few police man, robbed a bank, took hostages and let them free, tried to let police live and stole a horse. These events are contestable because the sources left are controversial and incomplete.

    The boxer rebellion was where the Chinese had had enough of the foreign invaders that had used their country as other powers were gaining influence on their society so the boxers were formed and fought against the invaders who were slowly taking controlling of their society. What they were going through they had no options other to rise up or let their culture and society be controlled by others. This made China have to band together and kick out the invaders from their country.

    Thanks to many primary sources we know that the battle of beersheba was one because of the horses and the men riding them, the enemy was not expecting men on horses and was therefore not prepared for it. Because of the horses the Australians won the day with minimal casualties. There are multiple primary sources of the battle so we can easily figure out the truth. The battle was easily won because of the horses.

    The change that has happened because in the past ideologies come and go due to popularity or lack their of. Nowadays capitalism is the favoured ideology but that was not always the case. After the Vietnam wars many people favoured Socialism because of the previous wars where people criticised communism and social democracy. This has changed today where social democracy is a favoured system.
