    The First Europeans To Arrive At Adventure Bay

    in June 1639, Dutch navigator Abel Tasman was placed by Antonio van Diemen, Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies, on a trip to the north-western Pacific. Tasman decided to sail his ships east along the south coast from Cape Leeuwin. he had reached the islands of St Peter and St Francis on the South Australian coast, then went south, finding Tasmania on the 24 November 1642. Tasman named the island after, Antonio van Diemen, making the land, Van Diemen land until later to be called Tasmania.

The timespan went from 1760 to somewhere in between 1820 and 1840. the industrial revolution went though the 18th century leading into the 19th century and was known for when the more agricultural societies turned more urban and industrialised. the industrial revolution is important today as it showed the invention of engines for factories so people can harvest crops or create different things such as clothes.

    The end of the Napoleonic wars was shown to be a disengagement from European affairs from the united states. the Napoleonic wars lasted about 15 years, and for a brief amount of that time napoleon was the master of Europe. the Napoleonic war was a series of wars between Napoleonic France shifting alliances of other European powers. the last Napoleonic war ended with the battle of waterloo.

    Police arrived at stringybark creek to camp, officer Kennedy left with an assistant to scout out the Kelly brothers leaving the two other policemen at the camp. At 5am the next day they had been ambushed by the Kelly brothers. after the ambush three policemen ended up shot with Kelly's rifle and have died leaving one police man (Kennedy) alive. Although Scanlan had told him to surrender Kennedy just got on his horse and rode away leaving Scanlan to die with a gun to his head.

    The boxer rebellion or boxer uprising, was a Chinese secret organisation called the Society of the Righteous and Harmonious Fists that had led to an uprising in northern China against the spread of Western and Japanese influence there. The rebels are known as Boxers by the westerners because it was thought that the boxers could withstand bullets making them unbeatable to anyone who tried to challenge/fight them.

    On 31 October 1917, the town of Beersheba was the scene of a historic charge by the men of the 4th Australian Light Horse Brigade. The brigade had stormed down the town, using their bayonets as swords in a charge. The surprise attack from the brigade carried them through the Turkish defences, easily getting to the small town of Beersheba. They were easily able to secure the town before it could be destroyed by the retreated Turkish soldiers. Death the Turkish soldiers.
