    the first European contact at Adventure Bay was by Abel Tasman who discovered the aborigines. The European and aborigines felt differently about each other. The power that the Europeans had over the aboriginals is what led to conflict. Aboriginal women were tortured worse by Europeans and were used as sex slaves.

    the industrial revolution although focused on new inventions including steam engine, trains/railways etc; it also increased population by almost double. Causes for the rise in population are increase in food production, advanced medicine, better sanitation and a rapid birth rate. with the population growing space became an issue which moved people into cities and more buildings were made. this leads us today without the industrial revolution this world would be a slower process.

    The Napoleonic wars were beneficial to almost everywhere. After the British won the battle of waterloo, France was no longer a threat and Napoleon lost Global power for France for 100 years. this gave Britain global power and all countries applauded over the fact France wasn't a threat anymore.

    the shootout at stringybark creek is Ned Kelly's most infamous event. the police camped by an area where they assumed the kelly gang was, scanlan and kennedy left to scout for the kelly gang. The Kelly gang found them first and told them if they surrendered they could go back with out any harm. 3 of the police disagreed and put up a fight. this ended in their deaths and the 4th police officer, Mcintyre surrendered and went back without being able to tell the story of what he witnessed.

    the Boxer Rebellion was an uprising against foreigners that occurred in china around 1900's. it began by the peasants and later supported by the government. a secret organization called the society of the righteous and harmonious embarked on a violent campaign to drive foreigners out of china. several countries such as Austria-Hungary, France, Japan, Russia, united kingdom and united states all took part in the Boxer Rebellion.
  • The Battle of Beersheba

    It is seen in the Battle of Beersheba that the Walers and their Men had good relationships. The Walers priority was to put their men's lives before their own, otherwise they could not be apart of the light horse. the light horse was a group of australians who went around with their horses and dogs. The light horse became apart of the war so they could get food and water and in the end the light horse captured the town and secured water supply.
