  • Industrial Revolution

    The Industrial Revolution was the start of the modern world. Machinery was beginning to take over jobs and the population was spiking.
  • End of the Napoleonic Wars and British Hegemony

    The end of the Napoleonic wars occurred at Waterloo. It was a battle between the French army and two Seventh Coalition armies, an Anglo-allied army and a Prussian army. They defeated Napoleon and forced him to surrender.
  • Tasmania's Black War

    During the Black War there was a lot of violence and conflict between the Indigenous and British people. Nearly 1000 Tasmanian Aboriginal people died. This resulted in Tasmania's Aboriginal population almost being wiped out.
  • Age of Revolution

    The Age of Revolution is a period in time when a significant amount of revolutionary movements happened. This period of time is also recognised for the change in government.
  • Ned Kelly's Legacy

    Ned Kelly's legacy took place at Stringybark creek in 1878. Ned and his brothers held up a group of police officers and fatally shot two of them before letting the other two free.
  • The Boxer Rebellion

    The Boxer Rebellion was a movement against foreigners by peasants. They wanted to drive all foreigners out of China.
  • The Battle of Beersheba

    The Battle of Beersheba took place in World War 1 in Palestine against the Turks. Thousands of (Australian) men on horses swarmed the town of Beersheba. They successfully got to Beersheba with only 31 casualties.
