  • Automobiles' use and popularity on the rise

    By 1924, automobiles were now being used by almost half of the country; 43% of people were reported to have used or be using a car. The rise in the automobile industry was one of the largest and most expansive of the Jazz age era.
  • Immigration Act passed

    This bill limited the amount of people that were allowed to immigrate to America, making visas only available to 2% of each amount of people applying from each country.
  • Women’s dress is rapidly changing with the hemline getting shorter and shorter

    By 1925, the hemline was more then 20% a women’s height.
  • The “new” and “racy” magazine publication breaks record with almost 2 million copies being sold

  • Babe Ruth sets new home run record in baseball

  • Production of cigarettes had doubled, primarily thanks to the new wave of women now being able to openly smoke them in public

  • Stock Market crashes - Great Depression begins
