Announcement of the Campaign
BTS announced that they have joined forces with UNICEF in an anti-violence campaign named "Love Myself". They want to help end violence against children and teenagers around the world with the help of their amazing and meaningful music. They want to show everyone that true love begins within yourself. -
The Official Launch of Love Myself
BTS and its label BHE entered a two-year-long partnership with the Korean Committee for UNICEF. They joined forces to sponsor #ENDViolence, which is a UNICEF campaign based around making the world a safer place mainly towards children and teenagers who have been exposed to violence. They should be living healthy and happy lives not living in the fear of violence. Since then BTS began promoting the campaign and raising funds. They also released official merchandise for their campaign. -
Donations for their Campaign
BTS introduced donation platforms that they are collaborating with such as KakaoTalk and LINE to help contribute to their campaign. These two platforms released stickers and emoticons of BTS. When these stickers or emoticons are purchased, a portion of the profit is donated to "Love Myself" fund. This is a great decision because you're purchasing something you like and also donating to an amazing campaign. -
BTS and Japan Partnership Agreement
BTS and Japan Committee for UNICEF attended the partnership agreement ceremony held in Tokyo, Japan. This means launching their campaign in Japan too. It started with South Korea and now they're partnering with the Japan Committee for UNICEF to sponsor the #ENDViolence campaign to make sure safety and protection are provided for our children from any kind of violence. This is a great action taken by them because the campaign will be known by many and will spread around. -
The Powerful Speech at United Nations
BTS gave a speech about self-acceptance and self-confidence at the UN. It was a very emotional and powerful speech for young people to find their voices. They attended the meeting which was focused on youth issues. Kim Namjoon or also known as "RM" (his stage name) delivered the speech since he can fluently speak English but the other 6 members were behind him. Their speech had gone viral and made many people including their fans proud. Love Yourself. Love Myself. Peace.
