Gandalf and Pippin arrive at Minas Tirith and meet with Denethor. Pippin then swears his services to good ol' Dene. -
Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli all enter the hall of the dead. Because Aragorn is supposed to be the king or something, he befriends a bunch of dead people. So thats pretty cool. -
The big bad orcs attack the city of Minas Tirith and the good guys almost lose but, the Rohan army shows up and absolutely cooks the bad guy orcs. -
Mary and Eowyn do some team work stuff and stab the Nazgul leader person in the face. Ouch, am I right. -
Denethor go's even more crazy and tries to burn his lil boy Faramir alive, but Denethor himself gets lit on fire instead. Turns out good ole' Dene was using a magic rock called Palantir. -
The characters all rest and heal, then the entire company (minus Frodo and the goat Sam) get together again and decide to attack Mordor directly. -
The good guys march with their good guy army to the bad guys residence. This guy with a big mouth shows up and tries to make the good guys more angry I guess. After the mouth dude leaves Mordor opens and the good and bad armies attack. -
Sam rescues Frodo from an orc tower, then after some traveling and a couple run-ins with some orcs they arrive at Mount Doom. -
Sam literally carries Frodo up the burning lava mountain (otherwise known as a volcano) and they get attacked by Gollum. Sam fends of Gollum so Frodo can get inside the active volcano. -
Frodo and Sam get inside the Mount Doom and freakin Frodo decides he wants to keep the ring and starts to leave the Mount. But then Gollum is like I'm back boys. after Frodo and Gollum fight a Little bit, Gollum finds Frodo's invisible finger and completely munches on it. Gollum then slips or something and falls into the lava bringing the ring with him. -
The eagles show up and wreck the bad guys. The bad eye tower thing falls and the good guys win. Frodo and Sam are rescued by Gandalf. -
Aragorn is Crowned king by Gandalf and Aragorn knights the hobbits. -
The company splits up and heads their respective directions. Saruman and Wormtongue are released from Isengard. -
The Shire got overrun. The hobbits fight for the Shire. Saruman and Wormtongue are found and killed in Bag End -
Frodo, Bilbo, and Gandalf sail away into the big blue with the some random elves. -
now is when you realize that Sam is the real main character and hero and the good guys are mostly useless without giant eagles.
