pg11. Ralph is making his way to the lagoon. Piggy yells for him to wait up, then they introduce themselves to each other

Ralph points to something cream colored in the grass by the lagoon and thinks its a stone. When Piggy see' it he realizes that its a conch shell. pg15

Piggy instructs Ralph how to blow the conch. When he does blow it, other boys on the island follow the sound and find Piggy and Ralph. This is where they meet Jack. When everyone gets there, they vote Ralph to be their leader. pg 17-23

Everyone is talking at once duing the meeting, so Ralph decides that in order to talk, you must be holding the conch shell. Jack gets very excited about making alot of rules. pg 33

The boys get to the highest point of the mountain and make a fire, only to realize they have no way to start the fire. They take Piggys specs and use them to start the fire with the beam of sun that the glasses concentrate. pg 39-41

After they start the fire, some of the forest catchs as well. The little one who brought up the "beastie" is no where to be found after the fire starts burning the forest. pg 46-47

Jack is crouched to the ground looking for a trail to lead him to a pig. He is constantly trying to kill pigs, and that is all he seems to be concerned with. pg 48-50

Jack and Ralph argue about making shelter and hunting, There are no shelters made, and Ralph and Simon are the only ones helping to make them, while Jack hunts all day and continuously returns empty handed. pg 51-53

Simon sneaks away at the end of the day to a deeper part of the jungle. When he get's there, he moves the creepers and squeezed in, and replaced the covering of creepers so that no one could see him. pg57

Roger and Maurice had been relived from duty at the fire. They came down to the beach and walked right throught the little ones sands castles, knocking them over and destroying them. pg 60

Jack is explaning to Roger about how the animals can see him. This is his explanation for why he is painting himself in clay and charcoal.
