  • The Very First Meeting

    When everyone gathered, Jack asked for the presence of any grown-ups, to which the reply was negative. Jack affirms they would have to take care of themselves. After introducing their names, particularly Piggy who received ridicule for his name, Jack decides the need to be rescued. Ralph decides the group should have a chief via voting between him and Jack; Ralph becomes chief because he is athletic and also held the conch that organised the meeting. The choir boys are assigned to be hunters.

  • The Crash of the Plane

    A plane carrying British schoolboys from a war crashes onto the banks of an unknown desert island. The boys survive the crash.

  • Ralph Gathers The Boys

    Ralph finally decides to find other boys who survived the plane crash. He discovers a conch/shell and blows in it to call other survivors here to meet up with him and Piggy. Many boys start appearing within Piggy and Ralph's line of vision, of those which included child Johnny, twins Sam and Eric (Samneric) and many other small children. However, a group of choir boys led by Jack Merridew also gathered at the 'meeting'.

  • The Expedition

    While the rest of the boys were told by Ralph to stick together on the new island including Piggy, trio Ralph, Jack and a boy called Simon went on an expedition to explore the island and find any resources. They discover the island is uninhabited. While returning to the group they find a trapped piglet. Jack attempts unsuccessfully to kill it when he hesitates and it escapes. Jack vows to kill it the next time he finds it.

  • Ralph meets Piggy

    Ralph, a fair-haired boy with an athletic build walks out of the plane crash unscathed and starts to explore the desert island. He hears a voice somewhere and realises it comes from a fat boy, Piggy. After brief introductions to their names, Ralph discusses their current circumstance and what to do about it while Piggy worries for himself without his auntie to care for him. In the end, the two boys start to play in the water for a while.
