Ralph and the boys find themselves stranded on a island with no adults.

Jack becomes obsessed with hunting and Ralph chastises him for not attending too other duties.

When the boys see a ship on the horizon too Ralphs horror the fire has burned out because Jack has become obsessed with hunting.

Sam and Eric wake up and find the parachute flapping around are run and report that the beast has attacked them.

Jack calls Ralph a coward and trys to remove him from power but the other boys refuse.

Jack leaves while Ralph builds a signal fire on the beach but most of the boys leave with Jack.

Jack and the hunters kill and decapitate a sow and while Simon is walking through the jungle he sees the head of the sow, covered in flies, and has a vision. He thinks the Lord of the Flies is talking to him. Simon faints.

Simon discovers that the monster on the mountain is just a parachutist but when he goes to tell the other boys they are in a chaotic revelry and kill him with their bare hands.

Jack and Ralph fight and Piggy is killed when Roger rolls a boulder down a mountain.

Ralph hides for the rest of the night and most of the next day while Jack and his followers hunt him. Ralph destroys the sow's head, and then is forced out onto the beach where he collapses in exhaustion.

Ralph looks up and sees a British Naval officer standing over him, and the officer sees the boys behind him and is amazed by their bloodthirstiness.
