    Lord of the Flies

    The timespan is in the same year that the novel was published, with the month of August due to when the Hiroshima bombing took place in World War II. To make the timeline easier to read, I created each event as a new day.
  • Creation of Society

    Creation of Society
    Ralph uses a conch to sound the boys to one location on the island so they can all be together through this deavasting disaster. Ralph and Piggy seek to create a society to allow the boys to live on the island until they are saved.
  • Election

    Election
    The boys decide to have an election to determine the true leader of the island. Ralph wins the election and nominates Jack to lead the group of hunters.
  • Campfire, Skip Story Time

    Campfire, Skip Story Time
    In hopes of attracting passing ships, Ralph and the boys decide to start a fire. They gather dead wood and start the fire by focusing the sun through Piggy's sunglasses.
  • Forest Fire

    Forest Fire
    Some of the boys are supposed to be on duty watching the fire, but fail to do so resulting in a forest fire. The fire kills a young boy on the island.
  • BIg Bad Beast

    BIg Bad Beast
    The noises and sights of the forest is scaring the younger children on the island. The younger children are convinced that there is a beast running around the iskand.
  • Parachute Pilor

    Parachute Pilor
    A plane is shot down with the pilot parachuting on the island. The pilot is dead when he lands and the boys find him on the island. This convinces the boys that the beast killed him and that the beast exists.
  • Jack's Revolt

    Jack revolts against Ralph taking most of the boys with him. Jack's group believes hunting is the most important aspect of survival on the island.
  • Ritual

    The hunters slaughter a pig for a feast and place its head on a stake to represent an offering to the beast on the island.
  • Simon's Shadow

    Simon's Shadow
    The entire island is enjoying a feast when they see the giant shadow of Simon. They mistake it for the beast and kill Simon.
  • Broken Piggy Bank

    Broken Piggy Bank
    Jack and his hunters steal Piggy's glasses. Then Roger pushes a rock off of a cliff that misses Ralph and kills Piggy.
  • Wanted: Ralph

    Wanted: Ralph
    Jack and his hunters are now hunting Ralph to end his uprising against their own idea of civilization. The group decides to burn down the forest to finally catch or kill Ralph.
  • Rescued

    Rescued
    Ralph is found by a British soldier, and soon after, the boys hunting Ralph also see the soldier knowing that everyone is saved from the island.
