We found out that Miles does not really have any friends, and that he is going to boarding school in Alabama when he lives in Florida. His parents throw him a going away party and only two people show up. -
128 Days Before
At Culver Creek, he meets his roommate named Chip Martin (the Colonel) who gives him the nickname Pudge. He also meets the Colonel's friend, Alaska Young. -
127 Days Before
Mr. Starnes (the Eagle) introduces himself to Miles for the first time. Miles also meets the Colonel's and Alaska's friend Takumi. Miles tries a bufriedo. Miles gets tied up and thrown into the lake by three guys. This sparks a conflict between Miles' new friends and the Weekday Warriors. -
126 Days Before
The Colonel wants to find out who tied and dumped Miles into the lake. It is the first day of school at Culver Creek. -
122 Days Before
Miles meets the Colonel's girlfriend Sara, and realizes they do not get along well with eachother. -
110 Days Before
Miles gets kicked out of class for doing nothing. Alaska sticks up for him and gets herself kicked out aswell. Miles. the Colonel, Alaska, and Takumi go underneath the bridge to smoke, where Alaska says she smokes to die. -
109 Days Before
Miles and the Colonel attend the first basketball game of the season. Miles and the Colonel decline Kevin's deal. The Colonel gets kicked out of the game to keep his streak alive. -
108 Days Before
Dr. Hyde asks Miles to stay after class where he tells him to be present. -
101 Days Before
Alaska takes a group of people to McDonald's to study precalc where Miles meets Lara for the first time. -
100 Days Before
Miles asks Alaska why her name is what it is, and explains that sometimes he doesn't understand her. -
99 Days Before
The Eagle catches Miles and his group of friends smoking, so they have to go to Jury the next day. -
98 Days Before
In the court, Miles does not get any punishment, however, the Colonel and Alaska get ten hours of doing dishes in the cafeteria. -
89 Days Before
Alaska tells Miles she has a girlfriend for him (Lara). Miles and Lara, Alaska and Jake, and the Colonel and Sara go on a date. -
87 Days Before
Their date is at the basketball game where Miles gets hit in the head by the basketball because the Colonel was trying to get kicked out. Miles ends up having a concussion, spending the rest of the day in the hospital. Later, the Colonel and Sara break up. -
76 Days Before
Dr. Hyde assigns the first semester final to the class. During a rainstorm, the Weekday Warriors flood Alaska's room, ruining a lot of her books. -
67 Days Before
Takumi tells Miles that Alaska told the Eagle about Paul and Marya. -
58 Days Before
Miles decides to call his parents and tell them that he is staying at Culver Creek for Thanksgiving with his friends (Alaska). -
51 Days Before
To get back at the Weekday Warriors, Alaska decides with Miles' help, a prank they will pull off that involve turning their hair blue. -
49 Days Before
During the Thanksgiving break, Alaska tells Miles that they are going to look through other people's rooms since nobody else is there. They end up finding porn and watch it together. -
47 Days Before
The Colonel comes back from Thanksgiving break and tells Alaska and Miles that his mom invited them for Thanksgiving dinner. They end up going and notice that she lives in a small trailer, however, she is a very good cook. -
44 Days Before
Alaska tells Miles and the Colonel that she is sad because she was the one who ratted out Paul and Marya. This makes the Colonel mad and makes him think that he cannot trust Alaska anymore. -
8 Days Before
Miles and his friends think of a brilliant idea to fool the Eagle; they will pull off a mini prank that will make the Eagle not suspect the big prank. -
3 Days Before
It is the day of the mini prank. The Colonel tells the Eagle that him, Miles, and Takumi are going to his mom's trailer for the weekend and the Eagle calls his mom to make sure. Instead, they go to the barn and Alaska and Lara come later saying that they signed themselves out for the weekend. Miles and Takumi distracted the Eagle with fire crackers, Alaska sent out fake reports to the parents of the Weekday Warriors, and Lara put the blue dye in Kevin's hair gel. The prank was a success. -
2 Days Before
Still in the barn, Miles and his friends play a new game that Alaska thought of on the spot. In the game, Alaska reveals how her mother died and how she just watched because she was so scared. She said she was so scared that she didn't call 911 unitl her father came home. -
1 Day Before
Miles and his friends leave the barn to go back and check in with the Eagle. He did not suspect that it was them who lit the fire crackers. -
The Last Day
Lara gives Miles a blow job, but after having to ask Alaska how to do it. Miles and Alaska play Truth or Dare because the Colonel was too hammered to play. Alaska says for Miles to hook up with her. So he does, and they start kissing, even though they both are in a relationship. After, Alaska comes in the room crying saying to distract the Eagle for her and that she has to leave to go somewhere. So Miles and the Colonel do, and Alaska gets in her car and drives off. -
The Day After
The Eagle tells everybody to go to the gym where he announces that Alaska had passed away in a car accident. Miles and the Colonel cannot believe it. -
2 Days After
Miles tells his parents that his new friend had died and they felt sorry for him as they know that he does not have many friends. Miles also has a nightmare where Alaska dies. -
6 Days After
Miles goes to Alaska's funeral where he meets her father. He also noticed that the casket was closed, so it made him think that maybe she got hurt so badly that he wouldn't be able to recognize her. -
7 Days After
The Colonel tells Miles to help him clear out Alaska's room so that her aunt wouldn't find anything she wouldn't or shouldn't want to find. In one of her books that Miles was looking for, he notices a phrase, "Straight and Fast" written so they wondered if that was connected to her death. -
8 Days After
Dr. Hyde writes on the board that their final summative question is what Alaska's was: "How will we ever get out of this labyrinth of suffering?" -
9 Days After
The Colonel and Miles try to think of how Alaska could have died, and what was going through her mind. They try to also find any witnesses. -
13 Days After
The only witness that the Colonel and Miles could find was the police officer that was there when Alaska hit his car. He says he wasn't sure what happened, but that she did not try to slow down. He also told them that he found some white tulips in the trunk. -
27 Days After
The Colonel and Miles decide to try and steal the Eagel's breathalyzer. Miles distracts the Eagel in his house while the Colonel steals the breathalyzer. Back at their room, the Colonel gets drunk enough for it to say 0.24. He couldn't belive that was how Alaska would have felt. -
29 Days After
The Colonel decides to call Alaska's boyfriend, Jake, even though Miles doesn't want to. The Colonel concludes that Jake and Alaska did not have a fight on the night that she died. -
62 Days After
While on the payphone, Miles looked down and saw that there were some flowers drawn on it. He asked the Colonel and he said that Alaska drew them. Miles thinks that those flowers are some how connected to how she died. -
69 Days After
The Colonel decides to pull off a prank in memory of Alaska because she always liked to do them and did not pull one off this year. -
102 Days After
Miles and his friends decide that they will pull off a prank with the help of Miles' father. His father calls the Eagle claiming he is a doctor related to teen sexuality. The Eagle welcomes him to Speaker Day, but istead, a male stripper will pose as the doctor. -
114 Days After
Miles and his friends figured out where Alaska was going the night that she died. They figured she was going to her mother's grave to place the flowers there and say sorry. -
136 Days After
Miles finds a note Takumi left saying that he knew where Alaska was going as he talked to her right as she was leaving.
