The Colonel goes to the swings to take a smoke and without knowing that Miles doesn't smoke, he takes him along. There Miles smoked once and regretted it and promised he would never smoke again. After, the Colonel left, Miles smoked once more and started enjoying it. -

Miles lessons not to rat anyone out if he gets in trouble. While him and the Colonel are on the swings, the Colonel tells the most important thing is to never ever rat anyone out. -
The Labyrinth

Alaska asks Miles about his last words talent and they start talking about the book "The General in His Labyrinth", where the main character is talking about trying to get out of the labyrinth. This influences Alaska's life greatly because her essay for religion class was "How do I get out of this labyrinth of suffering?". -
Meeting Takumi

Takumi, the Colonel and Alaska's friend, who is an improtant part of the story, meets Miles in the cafeteria over their favorite lunch, bufriedos. -
Late-Night Swim

Miles gets thrown in the water by Kevin(one of the rich-kids). This happens to everyone, but in Miles case his hands and feet were taped, almost causing him to drown. Kevin tells him this was because of the Colonel. -
Religion Class
One of Miles' class is religion class and his first impression is that the teacher, Dr. Hyde, can't even talk, let alone teache a class, because he only had one lung. Throughout the duration of the class, Miles realizes that Dr.Hyde is actually a genius. -

The Colonel, Takumi, and Alaska have a place in the woods under a bridge called the Smoking Hole, where, obvious to its name, they smoke. -

The Colonel has a reputation of getting kicked out of every basketball game the Culver Creek Nothings have. He gets kicked out by being disruptive and rude to the coaches and other teams players and Miles actually witnesses one basketball game where he gets kicked out. Later, the Colonel explains that he's been kicked out of 37 straight games. -

For the upcoming precalc test, Alaska takes 6 people who are in her precalc class with her to McDonalds to study, one of them who's Miles. They go there in Alaska's car which is called Blue Citrus and fun fact: Alaska refuses to stop and brake. At McDonalds, Miles actually admits that he learned quite a lot from Alaska's study session and it brings up his mark on the test. -
Eagles Look of Doom

Miles,The Colonel, Alaska and Takumi are at the Smoking Hole and get caught by the Eagle/Dean of the school smoking there. The Eagle gives his notorious Look of Doom and tells them he'll see them in the jury the next day. -
Jury

The jury at the school consists 12 students, three from each class and they decide on punishments for non-expellable offenses. The group go to the jury and Alaska and the Colonel take the blame when Takumi and Mile were smoking as well . The jury gives them 10 hours work hours. -

Alaska sets Miles up with a Romanian girl, Lara, and she plans a date for them at a basketball game with Alaska's boyfriend, Colonel and his girlfriend and Takumi, which becomes the triple and a half date. -
The Boyfriend

Alaska is ironing Miles' shirt for the date. when Alaska's boyfriend, Jake, showed up. To Miles he was everything a girl could want and so Miles thought thats why he was her boyfriend. Throughout his date, Miles tells himself that he should hate Jake, but instead he feels like he wants to be like him than hate him. -
Puking on His Girlfriend

MIles is on his triple and a half date at the basketball game when the Colonel decides to disrupt the game since the Culver Creek Nothings are playing against th rich snotty Harsden Academy, who he hates with a passion. The Colonel provokes their best player, The Beast causing him to attack the Colonel,but instead he hits Miles who gets a concussion. Lara, the unknowing date, comes to help Miles, but gets puked on by him instead. -
The Flood

With the recent rain, the Weekday Warriors decide to flood Alaska's room by connecting the gutter to her window. This action completey drenches her small library that she had and makes her really mad giving her the incentive to get revenge and prank them back. -
Alaska the Snitch

Takumi tells Miles that Alaska was the one who ratted out Marya, Alaska's ex-roomate and her boyfriend. Alaska was caught sneaking out with a bottle of wine. She broke down and told the Eagle about marya and Paul so she wouldn't be kicked out. Takumi admits he told Miles all this for the upcoming prank and what he should do if he ever got caught. -
What Friends Are For

Miles finally understands why Alaska and the Colonel took the blame on Jury day. He realizes they were trying to show him that he shouldnt rat his friends out and be loyal to them if he ever got caught. -
Staying at Culver Creek

Alaska persuades Miles to stay at Culver Creek with her for the Thanksgiving holidays. Miles agrees because he it would be a great opprutunity for them to be together on campus and for them to get to know each other better. Miles then calls his parents persuading them to let him stay to which his parents agree. -
Parents In England
58 Days Before
Miles regrets not going home for the Thanskgivng holidays and after a talk with the Colonel and hime telling Miles that he shouldn't wait for Alaska, he calls home once again and wants to tell his parents that he's coming home for the holidays. Unfortunately for Miles, his parents are going to England for Thanksgiving and aren't going to be home. This turns out to be a good thing because it gives Miles a chance to get to know Alaska better. -
Unearthing Wine

After everyone left for Thanksgiving holidays, Alaska and Miles go to the field and start digging for Strawberry Hill wine. After drinking, they lie down in the field and Alaska starts reading the Cat's Cradle to Miles. -
Hair Obsessed Rich Kids

Alaska and Miles are going around the Weekday Warriors' rooms especially the ones that almost drowned Miles and Alaska starts asking what they all have in common. At first Miles doesn't know, but after some inspection and Alaska guiding him, they both realize that the guys are obsessed with their hair. This lights a revenge prank in Alaska's mind. -
Miles Likes Alaska

Alaska reading the Cats' cradle to him and both of them lying on the field with Strawberry Hill wine between them, causes Miles to realize he actually likes Alaska. He's about to express his feelings when Alaska brings up the Labyrinth and the suffering of the world. She connects back to her religion class and how the three religions believe in and are worried about suffering. -
Dorm Secrets

Miles and Alaska decide to go searching around the others room, initially looking for porn, but in the end realizing that everyone, including two anti-social twins, have booze stashed away somewhere in their room, even in their Bibles. Alaska admits she could have ratted out anyone when the Eagle had blackmailed her. -
Porn Watching

While going through everyones rooms, they find a porno and start watching it. Alaska starts talking about how the woman is being seen as just an object. After giving her lecture, Alaska immediately falls asleep on the couch. Miles wants to sleep with her, but "he lacks courage"and says if people were rain he'd be a drizzle and she'd be a hurricane, emphasizing on how different they were. -
Thanksgiving at Colonel's House

The Colonel's mom invites Alaska and Miles over to their house for Thanksgiving since their both at the boarding school for Thanksgiving holidays. There Miles realizes that even though the Colonel is someone entirely different, he is a completely better person with his mom. -
Alaska "Ruins" Everything
44 Days Before
After Alaska tells Miles the knock-knock joke her mom told her, she comes to his room crying. She explains that she told the Colonel out by her ratting out Marya and Paul and from now on he won't leave her out of his sight during pranks. Bascially, he can't trust her anymore. Miles comforts her, but he was still confused as to what she was hinting at. -
Caring Family
After Miles hadn't gone home for Thanskgiving and his parents had "abandoned" him for a trip to England, his parents had felt guilty about leaving him on his own. His mom would constantly say that she's a horrible mom. When he left at the end of the holidays, both his parents were crying. In the Thanksgiving holidays, he felt that he didn't have a family, but at the end of the Christmas holidays, he was sure that he had a family that cared about him. -
Old-Married Couple

First day back from Christmas holidays, Alaska starts planning for the pre-prank. The pre-prank is supposed to take attention away from the the actual prank and for the Eagle not to expect another prank since the juniors and the seniors only do one prank a year. Miles doesn't actually know what the pre-prank is except for where they're going to be the night of the prank because Alaska and the Colonel are planning it together and leaving Miles out of it. -
The Fear of The Beyond

Miles finally finishes his religion paper and answers his question of what happens to us after we die. Miles writes tha Muslims and Christians believe in an afterlife, but Buddhists believe that our bundle of energy are passed on to something else and reincarnated after they're dead. Miles thinks he's question is a good one because he believes people want security and they can't bear to not have an afterlife. People want the idea of an afterlife, not a death into nothingness. -
Sneaking under the Eagles Beak

Miles,Takumi and the Colonel go to the Eagle to go to "Colonel's house" when actually their going to the barn to do the prank. -
The Swan Bite

While they're trying to distract the Eagle, Takumi and MIles take a wrong turn and end up at the lake, the same place the swan is. Miles bumps into the swan while he's running and the swan gets his revenge by biting his butt. -
Pre-Prank: Details

After all of them successfully get passed the Eagle, the Colonel starts giving out the pre-pranks details, like how Miles and Takumi are the distraction, Lara is doing one thing and Alaska and the Colonel are going to send out wrong progress reports. -
The Motherfucking Fox
While they're getting ready to prank the Eagle, Takumi takes out a fox headband out of his backpack and wears it confidently, constanly saying he is the "motherfucking fox".
