Thor's descendant, Matt left the gym and was walking home. Along the way he found 2 kids Laurie and Fen trying to steal a shield on a longship. Matt told them to leave, but Fen didn't listen, but argued with Matt. When Matt got mad his amulet on the chain around his neck started to vibrate and when he punched Fen, Fen flew back into the ship. Fen and Laurie ran away and Matt was surprised by his powers. -

After the meeting finished Matt went to the carnival. While he was there a little girl came up to him and took him back to the rec center. Behind a door he heard The Elders talking about that the Earth needs Ragnarök. Then she tells him that she is the Present Norn. She told him the next Norn was outside. When he found her she told him that he needs Loki's descendant to help him. She then pointed at Fen. -

During the carnival Matt entered the rec center with his family to meet all the Thorsens in Blackwell. During his grandfathers speech Matt was thinking about Ragnarök. Later on his grandfather announced the champion who will fight the Midgard Serpent from ending the world. He announced that the runes have chosen Matthew Thorsen. -
The Raiders Ch.8 Pg.101
While Matt was trying to persuade Fen to help him Raiders came out behind them and attacked. Fen and Matt both fought of the Raiders, but more kept coming. Some then changed into wolves and then attacked them. Fen got so mad that he even changed into a wolf and he attacked everyone. Then Laurie came to help, but she had no powers. After an alarm went off meaning tornado and when everyone turned around there was a big one and Matt, Fen, and Laurie ran into the longship until the storm was over. -
Locating the Descendants of North. Page 147
When Matt, Fen, and Laurie ran away from Blackwell they went into a forest. In the forest Valkries found them and captured them and then told them where to find the other descendants. They gave them a riddle and left. Laurie taught about it for a second then figured out it was Mount Rushmore. They knew that the next descendants were at Mount Rushmore. -
Mount Rushmore Trolls. Page 159
When they got to Mount Rushmore they had to wait for the place to close. After it closed they went near the mountain, but they noticed something weird. Parts of the faces started to move. Then they came alive and Matt, Fen, and Laurie noticed that they were trolls. They asked the trolls where to find them but they didn't answer so they attacked the trolls. After one troll made a deal that if Matt gives him the amulet he will tell them. Laurie tricked the troll, got the answer and they ran away. -
Twin Witches. Page 206
After losing the trolls they found a cemetery where they found twins near a gravestone. When they tried to talk to them,the twins ignored them and left. After a while Raiders found them and attacked them. They all fought the Raiders, but more kept coming so they needed to escape. Laurie then magically made a portal and they jumped through it and ended up in South Dakota. -
Indestructible Baldwin. Page 248
After leaving the portal they walked around for a bit until they realized that they were in South Dakota. A boy named Baldwin came by and talked to them and took them home. They figured out that Baldwin is a descendant of Balder,a god who can't get hurt by anything except mistletoe. Baldwin told everyone that they can stay over. -
Nightmares. Page 278
Baldwin gave everyone new clothes and they went to sleep. After a while someone knocks on the door and Baldwin and Laurie get up to see who it is. A girl named Astrid walks in and tells them that she is Odins girlfriend. After she noticed that something was following her. They were nightmares who attacked everyone. Nightmares made people think that their fears were real when they entered someones head. They finally got rid of them and Astrid wanted to help them. -
Raiding the Raiders. Page 309
Their plan was to get the weapons to fight the Serpent. They decided to get the shield from the Raiders who stole it from the longship. Matt told Laurie to make a portal to their base and Matt and Baldwin went in. Everyone else stood outside the base. When Matt got the shield the Raiders came back and attacked them and took the shield back. Everyone outside the base came in to help fight the Raiders. When Matt got the shield again they all went through the portal back to Baldwins house. -
Baldwin chokes and died. Page 341
When they returned home they thought of celebrating. Baldwin ordered the pizza and while they were waiting they all sat down and talked. When the pizza came Astrid had already set everything up. They all took slices and Baldwin took the chili flakes and put it on the pizza. Fen and Baldwin were talking and all of the sudden Baldwin starts chocking and he died. Everyone knew that he can only die to mistletoe which means someone killed him on purpose. -
Going to Hel. Page 358
While Baldwin was on the bed Matt noticed that the shield was gone. Then he noticed that Astrid was gone too. This means she took the shield and that she might have killed Baldwin because she set everything up for the pizza. When Matt looked in the backyard he saw Astrid running away. Matt went after her and he caught up. Astrid told him that someone made her do it, but she tricked him and left. The myths said that to revive Baldwin they need to go to Hel so that is where they are going next..
