    Arresting Of Fethi Tarbel
    The revolution was sparked by the Gaddafi government arresting the Human Rights Activist, Fethi Tarbel. They arrested him because of his close involment with the "Day of Anger" which was a protest to remember the 14 people who were killed that same day the year before,The Arrest started huge riots in Benghazi.

  • Rebels in Misurata

     Rebels in Misurata
    After the riots in Benghazi, anti-governement rebels took over the coastal city of Misurata just outside Tripoli. Pro-government citizens attacked the rebels causing a rather large battle in Misurata.
  • No Fly Zone

    No Fly Zone
    The United Nations decided to vote for a no fly zone over libya to protect civilians from Gaddafi's air strikes on the rebel forces.
  • First Air Strikes On Rebels

    First Air Strikes On Rebels
    To stop the libyan rebels from advancing any further Gaddafi issued severel air strkes on the rebels in Benghazi. To stop Gaddafi from hurting any more civilians the United Nations issued air strikes against him.

    International Crime Court Issues arrest warrents for Gaddafi, his son, and his Intellegience cheif for crimes agaisnt humanity against the rebel forces.

    Rebels enter Tripoli
    Rebel forces finally enter the capital of libya, Tripoli. After many riots and man hunts from the rebels to find Gaddafi, Gaddafi and his family finally flee the capitol and go into hiding, Gaddafi makes an audio message to encourge any of his allies to take down the rebel rats

    President Obama makes an announcment for all of the Qaddafi loyalist to surrender. Libyans celebrate the fall of the Qaddafi rule.
  • Gaddafi's death

    Gaddafi's death
    With no where to run, Gaddafi is found alive trying to flee Sirte. He his captured by the rebels and gruesomely beaten and mangled to death in public.
  • Libya Liberated

    Libya Liberated
    Three days after Gaddafis death, the National Transitional council declares Libya to be Liberated.
