The Hidden
Rifka and her family have just left Berdichev and other family members. She misses them. Her brothers, Nathan and Saul, were not safe there anymore since they have escaped from the army and can't return. For if they do, they will meet their death. To protect her family, Rifka must distract the guards from noticing them at the train station. that leads to Poland. Everything is all on Rifka for, she is a success and they leave the station. -

Unexpected Contact
The family has reached the Poland boarder. They were about half way to America. On their journey into Poland they have to first be examined by doctors. Rifka, nervous as her first time, goes through and passes the test. They all hope back on the train and begin their journey. -
Outside Sickness
They've crossed the Polish boarder and Rifka started to feel horrible. She caught typhus. Her family supported her, but it only got worse. Mama, Papa, and Nathan had caught it too. Saul was the only one without it. Rifka started to heal, but the others had to go to a doctors. Saul would stay with Rifka and care for her, alone. Rifka also got a chance to visit her family at the hospital. -
Upgrade
Rifka and Saul woke up. Rifka was feeling so much better. Saul and Rifka were good enough to move. They stayed at an inn for a couple days. Saul would go out and come back with food.She knew Saul never had enough food and always gave it to her, but she kept it for him. The owner of the innkeeper would steal our food over night. I got real mad. Rifka took a little visit to Mama and the guards threw her out. When sh went the next day the nurse let her stay, which was to see Mama like that.
