  • The Protests

    Citizens and begin to protest unfair laws and acts created by their monarchy through newspapers.
  • Censorship

    The monarchy censors the media, editing any papers and arresting any who publicly protest.
  • Taxation

    The monarchy begins to heavily tax imports and exports, including spices, furs, paper, and some foods.
  • Massacre in the Streets

    Large group of citizens begin protesting the unfair taxes and censorship. Soldiers are sent in and end up firing on the crowd, killing 4 and injuring 2 more.
  • Plots

    Wealthier citizens and some advisers to the monarchy form the head of the most popular revolutionary group, Freedom Seekers, and begin plotting.
  • Coup d'état

    Heads of the Freedom Seekers raise a small army out of citizens and soldiers that are against the monarchy, and assault the main palace, successfully overthrowing the monarch.
  • Period: to

    Debates

    Debates begin on whether to create a new government, and what/how it will be/work, or restrict the current government.
  • A New Government

    Decided to create a democratic republic instead of just restricting current government.
  • Period: to

    Creation

    The government layout is decided and a constitution created, delegating powers to different parts of the government. A Bill of Rights is added, protecting certain rights and liberties of the people.
