    The first maternity leave in Spain was in the 1900's. They made a lot of progress in this habit. But all that progress was removed in the Franco's tyranny and they returned after 1989. Nowadays we can say that our country is quite late compared to other countries.

    Women weren't able to go to universities until that date. But they couldn't go by themselves, they always had to be with a man, her teachers, and they weren't allowed to talk to men. In that same year women were able to be teachers and librarians

    The first time that the legalization of the divorce was recognised was in the 1931th Constitution. However, Franco's tyranny removed it. In 1981 the law was recovered.

    In 1933 women were able to vote for the first time in Spain. However, they were removed during the Franco's tyranny. The voting rights weren't recovered until Franco's death, in 1977

    The pill was already being used in Europe in 1960, but in Spain was legalized in 1978. Before, its use was impossible because of the Franco's tyranny.

    The spanish Constitution in 1978 declaired thr equality between men and women in the law. Since then, women started doing jobs that were destinated to men. However, nowadays women still get less salary than men, doing the same work.
