Naming objects
By 2 years of age is able to name some objects. Able to make short sentences. May not be able to control pitch or fluency well. -
Increase in language age two to three
Is able to start using words correctly. Vocabulary is at about 900 words. Most of what is said are easily understood. Can answer simple questions. -
Age three to five
Should know name and age along with other basic information about themselves. Knows objects by a picture in books. Plays make-believe and other activities. May verbalize while doing activities using longer phrases and sentences. -
six to twelve years
SHould know most constants and vowels. Able to do simple writing and reading books with more words. Makes adjustments to language based on the event or audience. Story telling using descriptive language and elements. Body language reflects listening skills. Uses compound sentences of different lengths.
