During the year of 1002, King Jayaviravarman I and Suryavarman I fought a war to take the throne. Although it did not last very long, King suryavarman I mananged to win the throne and become king.

1010 CE was the start of King Suryavarman I’s reign. He spent 40 years defending his throne, expanding and improving the Empire.

King Suryavarman was the greatest king to take the throne in the Khmer Empire. He built the great Angkor Wat and many temples for his people which ultimately led to even more expansion throughout the empire.

King Jayavarman became king and fought for what he wanted and for whta was right. He introduced hospitals, houses and roads for his people.

Angkor Wat is abandoned by the people when the Thai’s raid it, taking everything they had. They left in a quick manner to save themselves from the raiders.

The beginning of a new empire called the Khmer Empire. it was founded by King Jayavarman II in 802 CE.

This was the start to the reign of King Indravarman I. This King brought temples, buildings and more to the Khmer society.

The Bakheng Temple is a very famous temple built in 893 CE. It was built in Phnom Bakheng, which was the first city of Angkor.

King Indravarman II took over as king making Angkor capital again. He also seperated and organized Angkor including the placing of provinces into the kingdom.

King Jayavarman started the Empire in 802 CE until his death in 850 CE. during his time as king and founder, he managed to extend the empire vastly bringing many good things to his people.

KIng Jayavarman took the throne in 968 CE however he then later died in 1001 with Udayadityavarman I succeeding him.
