  • First Europeans arrived at Adventure Bay

    The first European to sight the bay was explorer Abel Tasman, who sought to anchor his vessel Heemskerk there in 1642.
  • The Industrial Revolution

    The Industrial Revolution began in Britain in the 1760s, largely with new developments in the textile industry. Agricultural production allowed more food and goods for everyone, steam engines and machines made life easier and travelling became more common. Urban increase meant more people lived in cities and other countries followed, boosting population all over the world.
  • Napoleonic Wars

    Napoleonic Wars, series of wars between Napoleonic France and shifting alliances of other European powers that produced a brief French hegemony over most of Europe. Napoleon surrendered on the last day of March 1814 and was forced to renounce his claim to the throne and lived in exile on the island of Elba where he lived for nearly a year before escaping to attempt to reclaim his throne.
  • Date of Shootout at Stringybark Creek

    The infamous shootout between police and the Kelly Gang took place at Stringybark Creek. McIntyre was supposed to tell them to surrender and Ned had promised not to harm them. However, Scanlan fired a shot and was shot in return. Kennedy took cover behind a tree and fired shots and was also killed by Ned.
  • Beginning date of Boxer Rebellion

    They were Chinese Nationals that created the famous group of The Boxer Rebellion. They practice boxing so they were able to destroy the dynasty and the westerners.
  • Battle Beersheba

    Beersheba offered a number of advantages, including the promise of plentiful water. A fire started and the men started to battle. They struck the trenches 1 1/2 miles from the town. In the end Australia won and then had to put down their companion or let them get sold off to other army's for future wars. Majority of the soldiers wanted to buy their horses and take them home but wasn't allowed. most horses were shot, sold to locals who mistreated and underfed them or sold to other army's.
  • Egalitarianism

    Egalitarianism was established in the united kingdom having the meaning of believing that all people are equal and deserve equal rights and opportunities. John Locke first considered egalitarianism that all individuals deserve natural rights. Karl Marx used egalitarianism as a point in the creation of Marxist Philosophy.
